Dr. Yang believes that humanity and humility are the keys to patient care. Communication with patients, their families, and other health care providers is important to avoid misunderstanding and errors. She believes that physicians need to adhere to the philosophy of "Do no harm". In this new era of healthcare, Dr. Yang does not forget to take care of the whole patient, including not only the disease but the physical, emotional, and spiritual desires of everyone she treats.

Having lived and practiced in three different countries, Dr. Yang has first hand experience in a wide range of diseases, including tropical diseases in Myanmar, dialysis patient care in Taiwan, and prevalent diseases in United States. These experiences have helped her become a more well-rounded person and a compassionate physician. She is more adaptive to different culture, diverse populations, and various health systems as a result of these experiences.

Dr. Yang is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Fundamentals in Critical Care Support.
