Stephanie Seiki

Associate Medical Director Post-Acute Division

  • Undergraduate: University of Michigan
  • Medical School: New York Medical College
  • Residency: University of Colorado

Dr. Seiki joined Bay Area Hospitalist Associates, Inc. in 2013. She believes that patients know their bodies and their symptoms better than anyone else. Physicians, however, have knowledge of diseases and the medical literature that guides evidence-based medicine. Only through a partnership between patients and physicians can quality and compassionate care be delivered.

Her main area of interest is in transitions of care. Many patients cannot go directly home after being hospitalized and require a stay in a post-acute facility (ex. skilled-nursing facility, acute rehabilitation, etc.). Dr. Seiki’s interest is in understanding how to improve safety and quality at these times of transition when patients are the most vulnerable to medication errors and adverse effect. She actively serves as Associate Director for BAHA’s Post-Acute Division. She is also the Medical Director for Kindred Lawton and Kindred 19th Avenue Skilled Nursing Facilities in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Bay Area Hospitalist Associates, Dr. Seiki worked for two years as a hospitalist with Sound Physicians at a community hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is originally from San Francisco and feels fortunate to return home to care for the community where she was raised.

Dr. Seiki is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Fundamental Critical Care Support. She is an active member of the American College of Physicians and Society of Hospital Medicine.
