Angela Lai

Dr. Lai is a Hospitalist with BAHA at St. Mary's Medical Center. She believes in providing high quality, personalized care to every patient by understanding and respecting their individual needs and by coordinating comprehensive care. She values open communication among physicians, patients and their families, and hospital staff and believes this is an integral part of medicine. Admission to an acute care facility can be a difficult experience, and Dr. Lai strives to make the experience as comfortable as possible for her patients.

Dr. Lai completed her Internal Medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. As a part of her residency training, she had the opportunity to work in various free clinics in the Los Angeles area, including the Saban Community Clinic and the Los Angeles Mission Community Clinic, giving her exposure to a diverse patient population. As a result of her work at these clinics, she was awarded the Saban Community Clinic Resident of the Year award in 2013 and 2014.

Dr. Lai is Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She is a member of the American College of Physicians.
