Matthew Jeong

After completion of his residency, Dr. Jeong served as St. Mary’s Chief Medical Resident from 2005-2006. From 2006 to present, he has been a hospitalist physician at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Dr. Jeong is currently BAHA’s Medical Director of the Acute Care Division. In addition to his patient care, Dr. Jeong is pursuing interests in quality improvement and medical staff leadership. He believes strongly that high quality medical care stems from a patient-centered approach and a culture of safety. He is the current chairman of the Multispecialty Peer Review Committee and the chairman of the Adverse Drug Reaction Subcommittee. He was former chairman of the Pain Management Task Force from 2010-2013. Dr. Jeong is also a Residency Program Faculty member for the Department of Medical Education.

Dr. Jeong is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine. He holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).
